University of Leeds

On Wednesday 20th May, 46 Year 10’s visited the campus of Leeds University. The purpose of the trip was to give our More Able year 10 cohort an idea of what higher and further education was like. Students took a campus tour and saw the world class facilities that the university has to offer including the new gym and sports facilities and the impressive library. Students also took part in workshops and games which got them thinking about what university terms (such as Fresher, Undergraduate and Seminar) meant and how to write an effective personal statement. Students left with the skills and knowledge required for a future in education.
