Shakespeare Schools Festival Success

Very well done to our students who performed an abridged version of Romeo & Juliet at Joseph Rowntree Theatre in York on Tuesday 11th October, as part of the 2016 Shakespeare Schools Festival.

All the students worked very hard to create a great performance with rehearsals taking place during lunch breaks and after school.

The audience, which included friends and family were full of praise and thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

Comment from Shakespeare Schools Festival Director:

The language was beautifully spoken, a very natural delivery.  Excellent contrast between the different generations of characters portrayed, lovely chemistry between Romeo & Juliet.

Mr Matthew Sinclair, Assistant Principal:

Well done again for your superb work with our students for tonight's Romeo & Juliet performance. They were fantastic. They did you, and the school proud. It was wonderful to watch, they were brilliant!
