Belgium 2015

The History visit to the Battlefields of France and Belgium was a huge success. Students had the opportunity to see some original trenches from the First World War and get a feel for how the trenches were constructed and what movement was like around them. Students also had the opportunity to pay their respects to soldiers that had fallen during the Great war in many of the cemeteries we visited including the largest Commonwealth cemetery at Tyne Cot. We also spent some free time exploring the medieval town of Ypres that was central to the British forces in the First World War. Overall, students had an educational and worthwhile time in Belgium and were a real asset to the school in the way they conducted themselves throughout the trip.
