Barcelona 2016

It was another successful visit to Barcelona that took place during activities week for 25 year 8 and 9 students, together with 5 members of staff – Miss Ashworth, Mr Milson, Mrs Gibbons, Miss Levitt and Mr Cooke.

From the start, flying to the famous Catalonian city, a great experience was had by all. Students and staff alike were able to visit places they would never normally have the chance to and try local specialities in the world famous Boqueria market. Each student has taken away life long memories from visiting inside Gaudi’s masterpiece Sagrada Familia (still not quite complete since Gaudi started it in 1883, but due to be in 2026), Picasso’s museum to exploring the world famous home of FC Barcelona, Camp Nou, the third largest football stadium in the world. The students were a true credit to the school, setting the example on how to behave and experience Barcelona which was noted by staff and the hostel where we stayed.

We look forward to repeating the same success next year for students with Barcelona visit 2017!
